The 2025 46th World Armwrestling & 27th Para-Armwrestling Championships took place in Albena, Bulgaria.
The event was held over 12 days, from September 10th - 22nd 2025, and brought together over 1,700 competitors, officials, and supporters from more than 60 countries.
The event took place at the scenic resort town of Albena, Bulgaria, at the Albena Resort situated on the northern coast of the Black Sea in Bulgaria, and was hosted by the Bulgarian Armwrestling Federation (BFCR) under the leadership of BFCR President Georgi Blagov.

From Junior and Youth competitors to Masters and Para-athletes, the tables in Albena witnessed intense determination. The primary African nations that secured athlete representation at the 2025 World Championships include Nigeria, Egypt, Ghana, South Africa, Mali and Cameroon. The vast majority of these athletes secured their slots at the 14th African Armwrestling Championship which were held in Abuja, Nigeria, and served as the official continental qualifier.
